A Faculty Member from the College of Dentistry at Alnoor University Chairs a Master's Thesis Defense Committee at the University of Mosul
Professor Dr. Raya Jassem Mohammed, a faculty member at the College of Dentistry at Alnoor University, chaired the defense committee for the Master's thesis of graduate student Rasha Moayyed Salem. The thesis, submitted to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Mosul’s College of Dentistry, was titled "The Effect of Magnesium-Based Gel and Combined Application with Diode Laser on the Treatment of White Spot Lesions: An In Vitro Study.
The defense took place on Thursday, September 12, 2024, and the committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Muadh Hamed from the University of Mosul’s College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Saher Sami Majid from the same college, and Professor Aisha Akram Qasim and Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmad Subhi Saleh, both from the University of Mosul’s College of Dentistry.
The thesis focused on evaluating and comparing the effectiveness of the local application of magnesium-based gel in different concentrations, combined with diode laser treatment, and the 1.23% APF gel (commercially available) in restoring color and hardness to white spot lesions.
