A faculty member from the College of Dentistry at Alnoor University participated in the defense of a postgraduate student at the University of Mosul.

Dr. Bashar Abdul-Ghani Tawfiq , a lecturer at the College of Dentistry at Alnoor University , participated as a member of the examination committee for the master's thesis defense of Anas Mohammed Younis at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul. The thesis, submitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, was titled: "Comparison of Different Doses of Vitamin D3 Spray in Healing Oral Mucosal Wounds – An Experimental Study."
The study focused on the use of Vitamin D3 spray in healing wounds related to oral surgery. It concluded that oral Vitamin D3 spray significantly improves the healing of mucosal wounds and has potential as an important therapeutic agent in enhancing wound healing during surgical procedures.
 The defense, held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Salem Hamed, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul.
he committee also included Assistant Professor Dr. Manar Muthaffar Anwar, Assistant Professor Dr. Noor Abdullah Suleiman, and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Saleh Khidr.
At the end of the discussion, the Dean of the College presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Bashar Abdul-Ghani for his valuable contribution.
