A faculty member from Alnoor University participates in a Master's thesis defense on the effects of endodontic sealers on vital cells.

Dr. Moan Muwafaq Naif a faculty member at the College of Dentistry in Alnoor University participated as a member of the defense committee for the Master's student Marwa Ahmed Jassim for her thesis submitted to the Department of Conservative Dentistry at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, titled: “The Effect of Bioceramic-Based Endodontic Sealers on the Viability, Proliferation, and Differentiation of Human Fibroblast and Osteoblast Cell Lines – An In Vitro Study.” The defense took place on the morning of Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the University of Mosul.
The thesis aims to utilize bioceramic-based endodontic sealers to: Reduce cellular cytotoxicity Increase the viability and proliferation of human periodontal ligament fibroblasts Enhance gene expression in human osteoblast cells.
